Former Journalist and current English teacher Mr McDermott created the NewsKnight newspaper in 2012, along with 10 other students, as a replacement to the old newsletter format. Since then, NewsKnight was moved online in 2014 and has started to vary its editorial content.

The newspaper aims to create stories that not only interest students, but also make them more informed about what is happening in and around school. As a paper, we like to experiment with our news content.

As well as school news and event coverage, we also like to report on current affairs, popular culture and more. We write different formats of stories from reviews to editorials and more, giving you the reader the full news experience. We have interviewed and spoken to some of the biggest celebrities and public figures around, like Kellie Maloney and Reverend Richard Coles. Our current team varies in age, from Year 8s to Sixth Formers, delivering you new stories and pieces of writing every single week. And we hope you will enjoy the ride with us.
